Lawrence is a Milwaukee native and licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Wisconsin. He received his Bachelors in Nutrition and Master’s degree in Oriental Medicine from the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine (MCOM) in Racine, WI. He was recognized as an honorable graduate for his excellent academic achievements.
Shortly after graduation, Lawrence was asked to become a faculty member at MCOM as a Clinical Supervisor for the MCOM Student Clinic. Lawrence’s passion for teaching stems from his years of athletic coaching. Lawrence believes learning is more than a process of reading and memorizing information. Human interaction and bedside manner are some of the most crucial character traits to a successful acupuncturist and health care provider. Lawrence makes great effort to teach these mindsets through positive reinforcement.
Lawrence was first introduced to Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine as a powerful therapy after a injury to his ankle when he was a teenager. In search of something more than “ice and rest”, he came across a Chinese Herbal Liniment called “Dit Da Jiao”. Literally translating to “fall-hit-wine”, this liniment made a notable increase in both healing time and decrease in pain.
After receiving Acupuncture for a sports injury he suffered while attending the University of Wisconsin-Lacrosse. Among other therapies, he found that Acupuncture worked remarkably successful to help decrease pain and regain mobility and function. After completing his Pre-Med prerequisites, he transferred to MCOM for the further study of this thousands of years old holistic medicine and become an Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine practitioner to help other people become healthy.
Lawrence specializes in Acupuncture, nutrition and diet counseling, Neuromuscular Therapy, and Herbal Medicine. He strives to provide natural, life-changing solutions for, but not limited to, Sports Injuries, Fibromyalgia, headaches, neck and back pain, stress management, sleeping disorders, and smoking addiction. Lawrence dedicates himself to offering the highest quality of care while tailoring each treatment to the patient’s specific healthcare needs in order to achieve optimum results. He is known for his caring approach and doing what is in the best interest of his patients. Lawrence believes that everyone deserves the freedom of a pain-free and a high quality of life.
In his spare time, Lawrence volunteers his time at various Charity events. He enjoys running, yoga, and weight training. Lawrence is currently a staff Acupuncturist at the Milwaukee Acupuncture & Health Center, Ozaukee Acupuncture & Health Center, and Apex Acupuncture & Natural Health Center.
