Whether work or social situations, it can cause people to negatively represent themselves by overacting to small stressors. Those who suffer from anxiety may fear going out and often avoid certain situations.

Anxiety can be either chronic or acute. Common symptoms of Anxiety include; panic attacks, increased heart rates, difficulty breathing, dry mouth, feelings of impending disaster, chest pain, dizziness, shaking, nausea, and diminished mental clarity.

Causes of Anxiety Include:

• Chronic Stress

• Adrenal Gland Fatigue

• Food Allergies

• Poor Blood Sugar Control

• Caffeine, Alcohol, Nicotine Use

• Nutrient Deficiencies

Anxiety affects the circulation of Qi (energy) & blood by stagnating the free flow between our 12 major organs. It is said to mostly injure the heart and spleen.

The Heart is responsible for “housing the mind” and is said to dominate our emotional balance. So when the heart is not functioning optimally, we may feel emotionally sensitive and imbalance in our spirit, consciousness, thinking, memory and sleep.

The Liver is responsible for the free flow of the Qi in our bodies. When the liver Qi becomes stagnant, we may feel angry, frustrated, and easily irritated.

The Spleen is responsible for “transporting and transformation.” This means the Spleen is the dominating influence on our digestion to give our body the nourishment is needs. If our spleen is not functioning optimally, you may experience poor digestion, dry mouth, constant worry, nausea, & low energy.

Acupuncturists focus to re-balance and restore function to these organs in order to leave you feeling cool, calm, and collected. Through proper diagnosis, you may be prescribed herbs and made nutritional and lifestyle recommendations in order to further the treatment results.

It’s ok if your scared.
So am I.
But we’re scared for different reasons.
I’m scared of what I won’t become.
And you’re scared of what I could become.
Look at me.
I won’t let myself end where I started.
I won’t let myself finish where I began.
I know what is within me, even if you can’t see it yet.
Look me in the eyes.
I have something more important than courage.
I have patience.
I will become what I know I am.”

-

I know the problem is not fixed. But, it is a step in the right direction. It’s amazing how powerful this acupuncture is. It is also amazing that I took so long to have someone give me a treatment to help the pain I had. This just goes to show how easy it is to let our pains and aches manifest longer then they should.

The Dopeness

The problem is, they are going to start generating this pathological data as rapidly as treatment of the illness changes. And, don’t forget about the major corporations who want to limit and, or wet their beaks in the mountains of money that can be made for this. The article says it best…

“Ultimately, we must get the balance right: regulatory frameworks must berobust enough to safeguard patients’ interests and well-being, while not stifling progress in critical early phases of the precision-medicine endeavor.

I have always been intrigued by the advancements of modern medicine. Genetic testing and profiling is the future. Being able to predict the onsets of many diseases someone may have lurking beneath the surface would be astonishing to know before it is a problem.”

Imagine being able to know about a ticking time-bomb that may drastically change your quality of life a few years from now. Imagine knowing what you are up against. Imagine that you find out what it will take to arm yourself and defeat your foe years before the pathology gains the upper hand.

Some may say that we shouldn’t play god like that. But…

Ultimately, precision medicine should ensure that patients get the right treatment at the right dose at the right time, with minimum ill consequences and maximum efficacy.

That seems like something worth funding…
